Combining the outstanding workmanship of world-renowned Spanish chessboard craftsmen with the precision of modern technology, the Berkshire Teak & Maple Chessboard allows chessplayers to experience the elegance of a wooden board at a very reasonable price. These are first-class wooden veneer boards, partially hand-made, but also using the most advanced technological machinery available to artisans working in wood. A special long-lasting matte finish is applied to reduce reflection.
The Berkshire Teak & Maple Chessboard has standard regulation tournament 2¼" squares, framed by a contrasting grain 2-1/8" border, set off on the diagonal for added effect. Overall it is approximately 22-3/8" x 22-3/8" with a thickness of approximately ½". The board is a splendid match with our ChessCafe Special Chessmen, as shown above. (Set not included.)
