We have combined the Berkshire Teak & Maple Chessboard (#1017), the very popular ChessCafe Special Wooden Chessmen (#155) and the Pressed Hardwood Box (#319) for an outstanding set/board/box combo at a great price.

The Berkshire Teak & Maple Chessboard allows chessplayers to experience the elegance of a wooden board at a very reasonable price. These are first-class wooden veneer boards, partially hand-made, but also using the most advanced technological machinery available to artisans working in wood. A special long-lasting matte finish is applied to reduce reflection.

The Berkshire Teak & Maple Chessboard has standard regulation tournament 2¼" squares, framed by a contrasting grain 2-1/8" border, set off on the diagonal for added effect. Overall it is approximately 22-3/8" x 22-3/8" with a thickness of approximately ½".

The ChessCafe Special Wooden Chessmen is one of the most popular wooden sets. These black and natural wooden pieces are nicely weighted (about 32 ounces the set) and felted. The King stands a little less than 4 inches tall with a 1½-inch base.

The handsome pressed hardwood box is divided and lined with green cloth. Finished elegantly with a brass latch and quadrant hinges, this box is designed to store one set with a King height of 3¾" or 4"; it also has enough room for a set that may come with four queens. The box is 8 inches wide, 6½ inches deep and 4.8 inches high.
