Manufactured by Excalibur. The Game Time II is the finest timer available for gaming activities where the time element is critical to game play. This clock offers the widest variety of preset game options available on any game timer on the market today. It covers just about any situation imaginable. It also allows users to set their own unique custom settings which can be saved for future use. This includes Delay (1-19 seconds) and Bonus (up to 60 seconds)....Bonus being applicable to sudden death controls only.
The GameTime II offers the largest display available on any game timer and has the largest number of user-controlled options such as an end-of-game tone, a warning beep (useful for 10-second chess), a move counter, claim mode and the ability to end a game after a specific number of moves, all of which can be switched on or off. Aside from the more traditional primary and secondary time controls, sudden-death time controls are available for primary, secondary and/or tertiary time controls. There are over 90 preset game options, which include all the popular chess time controls as well as time controls such as Canadian overtime, Byo-yomi for Go players, Hour-glass and Gong. Operates on 4 AA batteries (not included). Size: 6.5" x 4" x 2.25"
I have had this clock for several years and use it at my chess club. I often have to change the times due to different events and find it easy with the settings listed on the bottom. Although I have never had any problems I would like to see a metal version.

Great clock! I love the functionality and the look and feel. However, the directions could be more clear. It took me a bit of playing with the clock to figure out exactly where the options (i.e. time delay) were so that I could set them. Other than that it is a great product. My chess club recently switched to digital clocks, and they went with Game Timer II's. People love them!

Have used this clock for 2-3 years, happy with it so far. When I forget how to set a feature on it, I just grab the nearest kid. The big buttons are nice, as is the easily visible stem on the side of the person whose move it is. I'm about to buy another Game Time II.

There are three digital chess clocks worth consideration for a serious gamer: the Kronos, the GameTime II (this clock), and the DGT. Of these three (all in a class apart from other digital timers) the GameTime II offers the best combination of power and ease of use. This clock has a superior interface to ALL other chess clocks and more powerful features than all but the Kronos. I own (and regularly use) both a Kronos and a GameTime II. I prefer the durable construction of the Kronos but the superior design and ease of use of the GameTime II. Oh, yes. The GameTime II is less than half the price of the Kronos. You could, perhaps, argue whether it is the best chess timer, but not whether it is the best timer in its price range.

I like this clock, even though it is a little hard to find the time controls you want. I would recommend this clock to anyone who needs one.

This is a very good clock. It's easy to set but if you want to change the time given you have to press "select" a lot. The plungers are nice, and big, and easy to set. I like how it flashes when someone's time runs out. This is a great clock.

This clock is the first digital clock I ever had. It did not make me think too much about digital clocks, but at least there is no problem of winding up the sides, or not being able to see how many seconds are left. The time is easy to read, and it is not too hard to set. but, I think there are 2 major flaws with the clock. 1) on one side of the clock, there is something which can be turned to adjust the brightness of the clock. If it is made too dark, the time cannot be read. This happened to me once, and I almost felt like throwing away my clock!! and I would have if it was not for a certain Marcus Francis, who fixed it. and 2) even if there is a 2nd part of a time control, until both sides have lost on time, the red light flashes on the side of the person who has lost on time, even if they have played enough moves so that the time is added (even thought the clock does add the time) Apart from this, I think this is a great clock.

A great value. I found it easy to figure out with the exception of the brightness dial which might have driven me to throw the clock against the nearest wall if it weren't for the handy review above that mentioned the problem. Thanks for preparing me! I'm very happy.

I used this clock this year while teaching several of my students how to play chess and keeping notation. The display is large enough that the students can gather around a game or demonstration and they know exactly how much time each player has and what move they are on. It holds up to excitable kids playing speed chess, it is easy for us adults who are less than technically proficient to program, it doesn't move around and gets very good battery life. This is a must buy not only for teachers but for players who play tournaments as well.

This is an excellent clock. It's preset features and large buttons make it really easy to use. Even though it took me a little time to find out how to use the preset system, it is very useful.

Best display of all digital clocks with easily adjusted brightness.
One flaw: the red lights to indicate whose turn it is don't work.
Only a few chess players work at chess to the best of their abilities.
