The "Little Button" has squares that are 5/8" on a side and it opens to 5-1/8" x 5-5/8". The pieces are much like rounded plastic discs with magnets. Everything is housed in a sturdy plastic case which is 3" x 5-1/8" closed. (All dimensions approximate.)

Title :
Little Button Magnetic Travel Set
Comments :
I am always on the lookout for a good, low-cost portable, easy-to-use travel set that I can carry around for analysis without losing the position. For this purpose, a set with magnetic button-style pieces seems nearly ideal. A set with traditional stand-up pieces with magnetic bases tends to either require taking down the position in order to move it or else becomes too large to carry conviently. I have had a set of this type for many years, but the color is wearing off the board and one of the pawns has lost its contrasting piece that identifies it.
So, with its very economical price, the Little Button Magnetic Travel Set struck me as worth trying even if it didn't turn out well. In fact, I almost bought two of them. I don't regret buying one, but I'm glad I didn't buy two.
