ChessBase10 Mega Package

Train like Kramnik, Carlsen & Co. All 4.5 million games in the Mega Database 2010 have been fully classified, not only from A to E according to their openings, but also according to strategic themes, endgames and tactical motifs. Over 65 000 games which are theoretically important for the opening or historically significant have also been provided with annotations by international title holders and make the Mega Database 2010 the largest annotated chess database. Why is 12...a6 no longer played in the Dragon, why do the top players meet the Grünfeld nowadays with 5.Bd2, and what is the significance of 5.c5 against the Slav with 4…a6? With the help of Mega Database you will have a much better understanding of your own opening moves and you will learn new openings much faster.

To help you in this, next year there will be 200 000 new games to download. And every two months ChessBase Magazine will present to you the very latest tournaments; as well as training in tactics, strategy and endgames it will provide you with totally new suggestions for your repertoire.

Comments : I have found this program easy to use and the amount of data to be very useful. However, one needs to know that to load all the different parts you will need apx. 50GBs of hard disk space.
